Enhancing Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop may alert you if your connection exhibits high 'latency' (delay), which can hinder optimal performance.
To address this, please review the recommendations below to optimize your connection stability and speed.

Recommended actions
- Whenever feasible, connect via Ethernet. If you must use Wi-Fi, verify your connection quality beforehand by running a speed test, such as on speedtest.net
- Position yourself as close to the wireless access point as possible. Prefer the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band over 2.4 GHz, as the 2.4 GHz band often delivers lower speeds and is more susceptible to interference
- Disable or turn off any active VPNs or proxies before starting the course
- Temporarily disable security applications that might interfere with your network connection, as these can impact latency and overall speed
-
It is advisable to contact your organization's IT support for assistance, particularly if your network utilizes content filtering or other restrictions.
Adding the following domains to your whitelist can improve connectivity:
1. https://\*.npg.io (eg any host at .npg.io )
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Refrain from initiating large file downloads or uploads during the session. If possible, pause system updates on Windows, Mac, or Linux until the course concludes
-
Ensure your internet speed exceeds "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
