Setting Up DaDesktop On-premise (ddOP)

Hardware Specifications

Processor

Must be AMD64 compatible.

The minimum configuration validated so far is the Intel Xeon E5-2600v2 series or any newer equivalent.

For optimal performance, we suggest using Xeon E5-2600v3, AMD Zen2, or higher generations.

While there is no strict cap on core count, performance may degrade if the system has fewer than four cores.

The processor must support Intel VT-d or its AMD counterpart. Ensure this capability is active within your BIOS settings.

Memory

At least 32GB of DDR4 or more recent memory is required.

Although the theoretical floor is low, with a typical footprint of approximately 4GB, we recommend meeting the 32GB standard for stability.

Storage

Requires an SSD or NVMe drive with a capacity of 64GB or greater.

It is best practice to install two physical disks and set them up in mirror mode for redundancy.

Software Prerequisites

Ubuntu 22.04 or later is required. Debian 11 and newer versions are also compatible, though they undergo less extensive testing.
